Double JCB Delight for Clark Lifting Solutions

Sussex based Clark Lifting Solutions has recently added another two new JCB Access Scissor Lifts for work on its high-profile projects across the South East.

The lifting and access specialist has bought the new JCB models for use on a range of projects including support for HS2 and contracting and shopfitting jobs in the region which it supplies from its headquarters in Cowfold near Horsham, Sussex.

They take the total Clark Lifting Solutions fleet to 22 JCB scissors lifts including S1930E, S2632E, S2646E and S3246E models. Operator demand and operator safety are two of the key reasons why the company chooses to buy JCB.

Clark Lifting Solutions UK Ltd Director, Mick Clark said: “We continue to invest in JCB equipment as we are proud to support a British manufacturer and the service and backup from our dealer Greenshields JCB is fantastic. They have a great team of engineers and we like to deal with local businesses and support those around us.

“We have multiple sites that now ask specifically for the JCB scissor lifts due to the colour being highly visible and the controls being very straightforward and easy to use. There are some great safety features on the machines like pothole protection and overload sensors to make sure the operators are always kept safe.

“They are just great machines. They perform well and our engineers love working on them and preparing them for their next hires too. They believe they are the easiest machines to work on in the scissor lift marketplace.”

JCB Access offers nine electric scissor lift models with operating weights of between 2,930-7,420lb (1,330kg-3,366kg). The two smallest models (S1530E & S1930E) offer platforms measuring 5’4” (1.64m) long by 2’6” (0.76m) wide, while the majority of larger models use an 8’2” (2.5m) long platform. The largest S4550E model has an 8’ 8” (2.64m) long working area.

Clark Lifting Solutions UK Ltd was founded by Mick Clark in 2000. In addition to scissor lifts, the company supplies rotating telehandlers, mini cranes, telehandlers, glass vacuum units and cherry pickers to customers nationwide. It has worked with a variety of contractors on a series of major projects including No. 1 Hyde Park, The Shard, The Leadenhall Building, and Eros in London, as well as schools, recycling plants and large housing developments throughout the UK.
