Workshop Engineer

Hemel Hempstead, Farnham and Wrotham

We are looking for experienced Workshop Engineers at our Hemel, Farnham and Wrotham depots. The role will be responsible for all aspects of machine preparation for dispatch, with a key focus on keeping JCB machinery in peak operating  condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing of a wide variety of machines within the workshop
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
  • Keeping machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections
  • Completing jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • Supervising other Workshop Engineers, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained

Key skills we are looking for:

  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to service a range of JCB machines
  • Happy working at height, beneath and within all JCB machines and competent with using lifting equipment
  • Excellent written skills and IT Proficient
  • Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision
