With the introduction of the new Stage V JCB Backhoe Loaders, what better time to advance your machinery skills and qualifications? If you are an existing 360 Excavator operator, you can become a qualified Backhoe operator with just one course!

Did you know that a Backhoe has the same NVQ category as a 360 Excavator?

Georgina Williams from JCB explains more while showing you around the CISTC in Surrey’s new 3CX.

The CISTC are taking bookings for Backhoe training from 1st May 2023. Register your interest in this here.

How long does it take?

Operators can jump straight in and get their CPCS 180 Blue card without having to complete the CPCS 180 Red card first. Saving the company time and money. Read the full details on how to get your CPCS card here.

How much does it cost?

For the CPCS 180 Blue card, the course and test costs £1000. However, if you are a CITB Levy payer, you qualify for a CITB grant.

How do you know if you qualify?

If you pay into CITB Levy you qualify for the CITB grant. This can help cover the costs of training such as the CPCS 180 Excavator training.

The Levy applies to all employers ‘engaged wholly or mainly in construction industry activities’. In simple terms, when construction activities take up more than half of your total employees’ time!
