Greenshields JCB was honoured to host the Annual Grundon Waste / JCB Charity Clay Shoot on the 19th July. On the day there were a total of 22 teams shooting, each team consisting of 5 guests. Each guest made their way around a specially designed shooting layout of 7 different flurry stands across the course. The Annual Charity Clay Shoot was held at the award winning EJ Churchill shooting grounds, situated in the rolling Chiltern Hills in High Wycombe.
The successful event raised over a wonderful £30,000 for Child Bereavement UK, who support and work with families when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. Every year Child Bereavement train more than 8,000 professionals to help them to better understand and meet the needs of grieving families.
The event at EJ Churchill included; clay shooting experience, lunch, Ann Charmers from Child Bereavement discussing the inspirational services they provide in difficult circumstances, followed by the charity auction and prize giving. Our guests were extremely generous raising over £30,000 between them on the day, with additional contributions from parties who were unable to shoot.
Congratulations to the winning team R Collard! They ended the reign of Andy Skilton Engineers, who have been unbeaten for the last few years!
A great day with wonderful company and an amazing amount raised for a well-deserved charity. Well done!
