Rawstone Hire is run and owned by husband and wife team, Greg and Carol Pring. The company supplies a full range of modern, well maintained plant and equipment to construction, associated trades and the general public. In addition to the Godstone Depot, in 2009 the couple opened a second depot in Sevenoaks, Kent in response to requests from customers.
Due to JCB’s recent investments in their mini range, which included a re-design of all models, combined with a growing reputation in the market place and demand for JCB from his customers. This led Greg to re-evaluate the JCB mini. Greenshields JCB was very pleased to add four of the popular model the JCB 8014 to Rawstone Hire’s huge mixed fleet of mini excavators. Resulting also, at the same time, in an order to replace two of his existing JCB telehandlers, the JCB 520-40 compact Loadall, with Greenshields JCB.
Matt Sephton is Greenshields JCB Major Accounts Manager and has been working with Greg to specify the ideal hire machine;
“Rawstone Hire is a great, local business with a reputation for good customer service and an extensive fleet of competitive excavators. I’ve been keen to showcase the new JCB minis to Greg and Carol and delighted they’ve now taken four new machines in the 1.5 tonne weight category. The 8014 is popular with hirers because of its ability to work effectively in confined spaces and its ability to be towed on the back of a trailer from job to job.”
The machines have already been put out to hire and customer feedback is good, according to Greg;
“Customers do ask for JCB and we can now supply the excavator brand of their choice. We’ve had a very good experience with the small telehandlers from JCB and the service from Greenshields JCB is always exceptional, so we’ve decided to see if it works as well with the 8014’s.”
So far so good and Rawstone Hire have therefore now decided to place further orders for the JCB 8014 with Matt at Greenshields JCB.
